Lara completed her BA (Hons) in Jurisprudence at Brasenose College, Oxford, which included a year of Italian Law at the University of Siena.
She then moved to Brazil where she obtained experience of Brazilian law in conjunction with the University of Brasília.
On moving back to the UK, Lara undertook varied legal work, before studying for and training as a Notary Public at the largest Scrivener Notary firm in London.
She completed the Notarial Practice Course with Distinction at University College London in July 2019 and became a Scrivener Notary in April 2022, having been the first supervised notary in the history of the Worshipful Company of Scriveners.
Lara is an active member of the Society of Scrivener Notaries and the Notaries Society, and is currently a Council Member of the latter. She is also a tutor at the Notarial Practice Course at UCL, teaching Notarial Practice to future notaries.
In addition to English, Lara is a native speaker of Portuguese and Italian, and is fluent in Spanish and French.
When not at work, Lara enjoys literature, choral music and the violin.
