EVENT TAKEAWAY | Penn Financial | When the unexpected happens
Updated: Mar 16, 2022
Hexagon Legal Network February 2022 meeting, held on 23.02.2022 was sponsored by Penn Financial, specialist mortgage brokers and protection advisors and the topic was slightly more serious and personal than what we are typically used to. Mr Saan Popat, a CeMAP qualified advisor spoke from his personal experience and drew our attention to the well-known statistics, and compared them to the quick survey results conducted on the day, amongst the attendees of the event. The main takeaways are:
We all need to have a Will – however young or old we are. Will that is done properly and supported by the Lasting Powers of Attorney.
The national statistics still show that about 50% of the adult population do not have a Will. Within the professionals attending the event, 40% of us have no Will in place! Shocking stats, if you think of Will being the easiest way to ensure your loved ones are looked after.
According to a recent study within a Zurich insurance provider it was revealed that critical illnesses happen way earlier than we expect and imagine and none of us is safe. It is all the unknown of unknowns to us. You can find out more HERE.
The unexpected happens, and there is not a lot that we can do about that at all. The ONLY thing we CAN do, is to be prepared. Penn Financial are here to help you get the policies you need, suitable to your personal circumstances. Please contact me directly to discuss your options.
