Introducing the speaker of our May meeting taking place on 25.05.2022: Mr Lloyd E. Gilmore and Help and Hope for the Homeless.

What do they do?

Shortcut reply: they help people

Shoshana and Lloyd Gilmore travel from Borehamwood every week on a Thursday evening to supply food, clothes and other essential items to the rough sleepers and homeless on the streets of the West End of London and Hertfordshire.

They have been going out since January 2017 and for nearly 4 years helped many of their ‘friends on the street’, with food or clothes or just a person to talk to. Help & Hope for the Homeless are not a charity but a group that just want to help people that otherwise may be forgotten. Many organisations help over Christmas time but Help & Hope for the Homeless go out weekly rain snow and blazing sunshine. They provide a bespoke service and ask all the people they meet what they need and they try to supply it to them, if not instantly at least by the following week.
